The course is a figure of eight both starting and finishing at Hestercombe Gardens. The route is hilly and incorporates almost 1500 feet total climb.
The shorter Hurtle is the first loop of the route.
You'll set off down the extensive tree-lined avenue driveway, taking a left out of the main gates for your first descent, down towards Cheddon Fitzpayne. From here you complete the bottom half of the route, coming back up through past Hestercombe Gardens once more. Those running the Hestercombe Hurtle finish here
Humdinger competitors run on through along the driveway once more, taking a right out of the main gates and up the Quantock Hills towards the highest point. Along the top of the Quantocks you have time to catch your breath in preparation for the mile flat-out down into the pretty village of Kingston-St-Mary.
In Kingston-St-Mary you turn left onto the bottom of the infamous Humdinger Hill!
A final stretch brings you back along the Hestercombe Gardens driveway and onto the finish.
