Welcome to the site for Taunton's Running Forever Running Club's new race, the Hestercombe Humdinger, part of the 2009 Somerset Series.
The Humdinger is a challenging 9.5 mile figure of eight race (perfect for spectators) run entirely on quiet country lanes and rural roads. The race features many prize categories and all Humdinger runners will receive a quality T shirt and goody bag as well as one free on the day finisher’s photo!
There is also our sister race the Hestercombe Hurtle which is a 3 mile fun run. Both races are set in the wonderful Quantock Hills in the heart of Somerset and start and finish at the delightful Hestercombe Gardens. Here runners or spectators will be able to marvel at the fantastic scenery as well as enjoy a pint or a spot of grub in Bamfylde Hall. Hestercombe Gardens have also generously offered all Humdinger runners a voucher for one person’s free entry to the gardens, perfect for a family day out!
